LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL

A fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances – this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal! Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.

Broadway & Beyond: Even Stephens – Songs by Sondheim, Schwartz, and Flaherty

Join us on the DownStage Cabaret for another fun evening of intimate music and laughs as we present Broadway & Beyond: Even Stephens – Songs by Sondheim, Schwartz, and Flaherty. Paying tribute to three of musical theater’s most esteemed composers – Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz, and Stephen Flaherty – audiences will be treated to songs by the creators of Wicked, Sweeney Todd, Godspell, Ragtime, Into The Woods, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Company, Once On This Island, Follies, Children of Eden, Anastasia, A Little Night Music, Seussical, Merrily We Roll Along, Pippin, and many more! Seating is “Cabaret Style” at tables so that you can enjoy tasty desserts or a beverage of your choice during the show! Tickets for Broadway & Beyond: Even Stephens – Songs by Sondheim, Schwartz, and Flaherty are $27 for all seats. Come enjoy a very special reunion concert featuring two veteran artists of the Aspen Music Festival! Ron Borczon and Bill Arey met in 1981 after Ron played a solo recital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After the recital they discovered that they lived across the street from each other as Ron was house sitting for the summer. They started the duet that year and began playing concerts together. They played around the United States and recorded a CD, “Twelve Strings: Transcriptions for Two Guitars” in 1988 and is available for listening on YouTube. This reunion concert series brings two old friends together with a program that they feel the audience will enjoy. Ron Borczon has two music degrees from Florida State University and a Masters Degree in Performance from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. He is a Professor Emeritus of Music at California State University, Northridge where he taught for 40 years and he continues to teach classical guitar at Moorpark College. Bill Arey has a music Performance Degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and continues to play in the Baton Rouge area. Tickets for this special concert are $22 for Adults, $20 for Seniors, and $17 for Students. Nickelodeon’s SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: The Broadway Musical

When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world! The SpongeBob Musical is based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg and features a book by Kyle Jarrow, with original songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I., and songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley. Additional lyrics are by Jonathan Coulton, with additional music by Tom Kitt. The musical production was conceived by Tina Landau. An exciting new musical featuring irresistible characters and magical music, this deep-sea pearl of a show is set to make a splash with audiences young and old.
